Description
A Dutch oven is a traditional thick-walled cooking pot made of cast iron which has been used for many centuries on open fires for outdoor cooking, roasting, steaming, stewing and frying. With its three legs, it stands firmly in the fireplace. Coals or briquettes can eventual be placed easily on the tight-fitting lid. Thanks to the cast iron, the heat is distributed evenly throughout the pot and heats the food from all sides.
